Bangladesh's Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education

 An independent entity, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, is in charge of conducting public exams. (JSC, SSC and HSC).The board's headquarters are in Bakshibazar, Dhaka.

History

The Sadler Commission's recommendations led to the establishment of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, on May 7, 1921. This board had jurisdiction over the high schools and intermediate colleges in Dhaka City as well as the Islamic high madrasahs and intermediate colleges in Greater Bengal. The director of the Greater Bengal Public Education Department created an advisory council, which was in charge of running the board.
